![]() It's time to "clear the air" about cutting, grinding, and putting a kiln fired ceramic glaze on the edge of a bullnose tile. It makes a mess, and a big part of that mess is particulate matter (AKA dust) in the air. This is especially true in our fabrication locations such as American Bullnose of California where we process over 1 million pieces of bullnose a year. The dust we create effects the air quality inside our plant where it impacts the health of our workers and outside our plant where it contributes to air pollution. As a result we have always sought to limit how much and where that dust is. Recently we designed and installed a dust collection system in our California location that traps 90% of the dust created in the dirtiest part of our shop, ... making it no longer the dirtiest part of our shop. This along with other control measures recently integrated into our process are having a dramatic reduction in airborne dust. So breathe easy knowing American Bullnose is doing whatever necessary to make our locations better for our workers, our customers, and the environment. Author: Jim Stevenson
