This is the continuation of a series of posts that will highlight some truly unfortunate tile trim installations. The pictures below were taken in the restroom of a Southern California airport and allows you to see what happens to painted ("cold glaze) bullnosed edges after a period of time. What's up with that? This regrettable installation could have been avoided had the customer used a custom bullnose manufacturer (like American Bullnose Company) that uses kiln fired glazes.
If you run across any unfortunate tile trim, snap a picture and email it to us with info about where and when the picture was taken and what made you ask yourself, "what's up with that?" Author: Mike Gardiner Customer Service Announcement Seeing as a high percentage of the bullnose we produce is installed in restrooms/bathrooms (and we at American Bullnose Company want restrooms/bathrooms to be as beautiful and functional as possible) , I feel obligated to point out the correct etiquette for placing toilet paper. According to the 1891 patent for toilet paper, S. Wheeler clearly intended for an "over" delivery of toilet paper. See original patent below: Author: Mike Gardiner Author: Mike Gardiner |
